It didn’t really start with our storm-damage – but the story of our broken sign tells you a lot about one of our newest members, Carolina Signs and Wonders, and its owner, Jacquie Golbus.

Jacquie does her homework. When she was ready to launch her business, she checked out our Chamber. She attended events; met some of our great members; asked a bunch of questions. Now she’s a member of the Chamber and our Women in Business group.

Somehow through that vetting process, Chamber staff might have mentioned how our sign broke in half during the tornado that swept through Matthews in February 2020. Carolina Signs doesn’t produce signs like ours, but Jacquie wanted to take a look at our sign anyway. Maybe she could figure out a fix? Maybe she could find us a vendor for a new sign? Jacquie did her homework AND ours. And today, thanks to Jacquie and her team at Carolina Signs and Wonders, the repair of our sign is almost complete!
