Matthews Chamber’s newest member, Jennifer Adams, is opening her new Central Bark doggy daycare on Monroe Road to solve her own problem. Where could she take her 7 year-old Boxer, Annabelle, for socialization – without over-stimulating her? This balance, between play and rest, is at the heart of Central Bark’s “whole dog care” philosophy.
Central Bark addresses the physical, mental, and emotional health of dogs through Small Group Play: Central Bark’s dog-to-handler ratio is 12:1. Throughout the day, dogs enjoy alternating play and rest periods. Every dog receives Rest Enrichment to promote calm rest and positive associations with the crate.
Jennifer, a Cleveland-born ex-banker, is excited to open North Carolina’s first Central Bark franchise. She plans a soft opening on August 19th and is still hiring for part-time staff (with full-time potential) who have dog-handling experience. Welcome to the Matthews Chamber, Jennifer and Central Bark. We can’t wait to meet Annabelle!
